Diz Diz Diz...Sigh

So last night after I got some help moving things around in my room, I had dinner n found a lil time to relax. My niece n nephew just came up from Montréal for a few days to visit so I hung out with them a bit. We decided to watch “The Princess and The Frog” me n my niece Kim a.k.a Berly!! Now growing up I had a pretty amazing selection when it came to Disney movies. We (as in my generation…85’ babyyyy) got a good deal, Lion King, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, Little Mermaid and so forth. Then Disney put a halt on making classic and there was a bombardment of Pixar Animation films. Now I’m not gonna lie, I did enjoy the Pixar Classics (Finding Nemo, Up, toy Story, A Bugs Life The Incredibles). But at this point I was excited to see them go back to the originals. So Princess and The Frog was a must watch for me.
Now it started off pretty Disney-esk, with the singing and the artwork and the details, but the further I got into the movie the less I was INTO the movie, and not because the story line was mediocre or anything, but because it lacked a certain sparkle that Disney Classics had. I don’t know about you but I think I cried a lil for every one of those movies stated above, but The Princess n the Frog didn’t tickle me in any way. That or my expectations are way too high. I mean a love the part where the lil bug dies n goes up into the sky to be with his star lady friend, but other than that….meh….maybe next time Diz!!
