I received a call one day from a funny number (any number that is not saved into my phone with a name AND a display pic, is a funny number). Now at first I didn’t recognize the voice, but after a few key words I came to realize it was my boy Skip. So he was just calling to let me know he had a new number. I said cool and asked the next question any Blackberry owner would ask… “is your PIN the same?”…after what seemed like 5 seconds of hesitation, he replied with a “aaaahhh I had to iPhone it up stilllaz”.
So something is happening out there in the communication world. I’m not sure how to adjust to it (not sure if I want to adjust either) but for some reason, the cult of Blackberry user is being bamboozled into crossing over to the other side. The dark side. The iSide. WTF!?!
So a debate brewed between me and Fancy (both BB owners and avid BBM users) V.S. Skippy (a previous BB owner turned into iPhone owner). His arguments insisted that the iPhone was cooler and you could do so much more on it and that the iPhone had an app for everything, including BBM Messenger. Who needs an app for messenger when you can just have BB messenger?? And if you ask me, that’s cheating, why be allowed to steal RIM ideas if you’re not RIM? Over 36million Blackberry devices are used around the world, that’s a 17 to 18million device lead over iPhone. So take that iPhone!
My little sister has an iPhone, but that’s only because she worked at Rogers so she got a crazy deal on it, but she can’t check her emails on there, she has to go to the hotmail page, then sign in. Nor can she receive or send pictures on her iPhone BOOOOOO who can’t do that? iPhones DO NOT have BBM Messenger. That is the ONE thing that a Blackberry will ALWAYS have over any kind of iPhone EVER.
No matter how many times my trackball may get stuck, or no matter how many times the network goes down and BBM crashes, it still MY blackberry and I will never trade her in for an iPhone. All who have should be ashamed of themselves. Just because your boyfriend (Blackberry)forgot your birthday, that’s no reason to trade him in for a new boyfriend (iPhone), all you have to do is teach him once and he will never forget it again (hardware upgrade baby!!)
